Information For New Members
Background
Members are encouraged to help recruit new members to join the Family Friendly Business Alliance. However, there can only be one business in each category. To avoid any conflict of interest between existing members and proposed new members the enrollment of the new members will be subject to the following:
Invitation to join FFBA
Prior to inviting someone to join FFBA, please email the current FFBA members giving them a brief description of the business and provide a website address so the current members can determine if the proposed new members business is in conflict with their own.
Invitation to come to a meeting
Once we confirm there is no conflict, the president will send the applicant some information about FFBA and an invitation to attend a meeting
Membership Possible Conflicts
New memberships will be granted unless an existing Family Friendly Business Alliance member has concerns or objections. If the member has a concern he/she must notify the president immediately and request that the application for membership be denied. If no objection is raised within 7 days, the guests application will be accepted.
Members in a potential conflict can agree to a working agreement. It shall be written and signed by both members with a copy provided to the President.
Membership Application
Individuals must complete an application form and pay the first 3 months fee to become a member. Membership is based on the information provided on the application form and by the individual. Membership will be revoked if it is determined that the individual provided inaccurate information on their application form.
Probationary Period
New members will be have a 3 month probation period. At the end of the 3 months, the executive will review the application. The executive has the final approval on all new applications.
